Did you know that drowning is the 2nd leading cause of death in children ages 5 to 14? In an effort to prevent drowning and encourage lifelong enjoyment of swimming, the YMCA in partnership with Wilson County Schools and Wilson Parks and Rec will be starting our Learn to Swim program for all Wilson County second graders.

This year the program runs Monday-Friday from January 13 to February 28, 10 AM - 11:45 AM each day at the Wilson Recreation Park Pool.

Interested in helping Wilson's students have fun, be confident, and stay safe in and around water? Whether you're available every day or just looking to volunteer once, please contact Kathie Davis (kdavis@wilsonymca.org) or Jenna Davis (jdavis@wilsonymca.org) or call 252-291-9622 today and be a part of this life-saving program!

Don't forget to share with your friends and family who may be interested. Volunteering is always more fun with friends!
